Re: Dash & Oil line on a 1932 901

Measured the OD of the oil pressure gauge line with a vernier caliper, readings varied between 0.138" to 0.142" but my hands were too cold to be more precise. It is of course nickel-plated. As to the rubber link at the top, I suspect it was not to protect the line from movement, the coils at the bottom and the length of the line should be more than satisfactory for that especially given how firm and little movement the motor mounts allow. I suspect it was to prevent noise and vibration from reaching the gauge itself. I haven't checked the parts listing to see if 1933 used the same rubber link as 1934.

My interior cowl pad is the original fitment and reaches all the way to the top of the cowl.

Anything else?

PS - if I'm reading the parts book correctly the rubber hose was not used on the 10th series. This would be consistent with the label on the OEM Weatherhead hose I pictured above and labeled "Packard 1934". Bruce Blevins would probably be the authority on this.
