The best and easiest advice might be to use TCP Global.
Look at the chip colors (relative relationship of one color to another, esp in choosing two-tone schemes).
http://www.autocolorlibrary.com I think '42 was dark over light. '41 was light over dark. Using identical colors such as Andes Tan and Wilshire Brown.
