833 wiring question

I am installing a new wiring harness in my 833 5 passenger coupe as part of my rebuilding it, on my wiring diagram it shows the six connections at the base of the steering column as #24-#29, my question is, can any one tell me how they are numbered on the actual car so I can match them up correctly?
I had wondered if they were numbered clock wise as you look at the bottom of the steering column looking toward the rear of the car, but that is just my guess.
I look forward to someone teaching me yet more about these wonderful cars.
