Not a very exciting picture from the 35-120 technical manual. My earlier comment suggested if you have the original pump on the car, it does not have the "updated" pump cover with the pressure relief spring, which was the factory replacement part, common in design to nearly all Packards, and other car manufacturers, of the period. If you think its the oil pump itself, I highly recommend you find and install the "later" version. Not a hard part to find...
And no, I have not forgotten about your inquiry re:tie rod end modern number.
