As I recall, a 1941 radiator would not work in a 1939. There were many differences to the front and 1939 used the grill shutters while 1941, at least on the 110 and 120, had an in-line thermostat and I believe it also had a smaller upper tank designed to handle a tiny bit more pressure while 1939's was low, or even no pressure.
