Mounts as a saddle over the wire outlet, the brass fuse holder knob faces forward. If you have the right generator the holes are already there, drilled and tapped. Mounting screws should be round head, nickel plated.

On your regulator, the base and mounting arms should not be painted, the base should be natural and the arms nickel or cadmium plated.

Make sure you get your cooling air scoops mounted correctly, far too many cars have them incorrect, yours included. The cooling air INLET is the scoop on the brush cover so its opening faces forward and there should be a brass pin and notch in the cover to make sure this is the only way it can mouut. The air OUTLET is the scupper up front, the opening of which should face REARWARD. If you have the red label generator, that was the upgrade to reflect the popularity of radio equipment.

At least one of the two terminals on the underside of the OD 21262 generator control will be marked, A for armature, F for field. The smaller gauge wire from the generator would be the field but your unit appears to have been buggered and needs a properly sized armature lead.
