other than the waterpump, what other holes don't line up?
Curious to see comparison to original block?
Curious to know if the new block was drilled for oil filter?

I suppose it is what it says it is, a replacement '37 block. I recall reading in some service bulletins of "availability' of service replacement blocks for certain applications...maybe that is where the explanation lies...
