I collected dozens of slides of original Packard green on engine parts over the years. They do vary, but the paint is old and weathered. I have seen NOS Packard twelve parts with a dark olive color as well. The slides I have of inside generator and starter covers are always darker probably because of ozone exposure.

One thing about the Hirsch product is that it's very responsive to the color primer used so if you want a darker shade use a darker primer.

I never doubted Bill's product, especially because Turnquist thought it was great. Of course I don't know where things will go from here on.
