That's certainly large, but there were numerous early engines that were larger per cylinder, some much larger. One of the largest was the 1906 Locomobile Vanderbilt Cup racer with 4 cylinders and 1197 cubic inches. The Pierce Great Arrow also had a huge displacement engine though I forget the particulars. IIRC the first Packard of 1899 was 143 cubic inches (single cylinder).
