Correct finish for 1930 chassis components

I would swear I have seen this discussed here, but I can't seem to find it. So, my 1930 733 sedan has paint scheme B, which means that all chassis components(except engine) are to be painted black. So, should the black be gloss, satin, or flat?

The remaining paint on the frame looks, after a bit of buffing, to have a satin sheen.
