the car is probably worth more in Europe than it would be in the US - we need to consider this in the advice given.

The only vice I know of in these cars is not a serious one. The 1940's Packard column shift linkage has a tendency when worn to stick in gear/fall out of gear. This does not indicate a serious problem with the transmission. Overdrive was optional and desirable.

The dash plastic is available in reproduction but expensive. The interior fabric is wool broadcloth and also expensive, but most of reupholstery cost is labor anyway.

The body from the cowl back is shared with the 120 and short wheelbase 160 (1803). The front clip is shorter than on the eight cylinder cars.
