Mal, what you suggest is true for the Twelve between 1938 and 1939; many 1939 Twelves are bodied with leftover 1938 Twelve bodies which were in fact identical, identification very easily established by the theft-proof #.

We also know of a handful of 1936 Twelves bodied with leftover 1935 bodies plus an updated noseclip.

But that does not hold true for 1937 senior bodies, they are significantly different from 1938.
