1930-31 distributor shaft/advance/cam assembly removal

Has anyone disassembled a NE 10868 or 10896 distributor to the point of removing the shaft/advance/cam assembly? This would need to be done for a re-bush job. How does it come apart? Is there more than one way for the cam/rotor to be positioned in relation to the shaft? Thanks for any info.
