I have a 1940 180, and I installed an electric fuel pump.

First, HH56 is correct. The E8011 is the one you want, and can be used without a regulator. That's what I have on my car.

Second, no need in installing it near the rear of the car, unless that's a better place to hide it. I installed mine up near the front, and has worked perfectly for 10 years or so up there.

Definitely install with a switch. I only use mine for priming, and for when it starts to cough while in traffic, or trying to start after a long freeway run when the car is hot (gas stops).
