I found two different assemblies listed in parts book. I would say if the handle and lock all work to open and close the trunk use it. One thing you have wrong is the short tube goes inside the trunk. Look at the pictures, brown car is my 42 other one is a friends 41-110 that lives in my shop, You can always get a longer tube and bolt and bind the support after you unbolt it from the pot metal ( do not bend attached to the pot metal ).
