My preference would be for a commercial hydraulic oil like Mobil's DTE 24 (SAE 10, or DTE 25, SAE 20). Good alternatives include hydraulic jack oil or hydraulic motorcycle fork oil though with them you usually won't have a choice of viscosity. I don't recall the construction details of your unit but typically you fill to the bottom of the threads of the filler port. Cycle the arm several times thru it's travel to expel any air and recheck the fill, or just recheck again several times after a few miles of driving.
