Just thought I’d provide an update….I’m still learning.
Part of the reason I had so much trouble discerning which beam was which just based of the pattern on the wall (cabinet), was because I didn’t have the headlight lenses installed.
When I got my car running, I installed the lenses. I didn’t realize how much of a difference the lenses make for the beam pattern!
In order, the photos below show City Driving (low beams), Country Driving (high beams), and Passing (left low beam and right high beam). Note…my left bulb is much brighter than the right. I just have very cheap bulbs installed for now.
The low beams aren’t quite as focused, but you can really see a difference in the height of the high and low beams.
