I agree. The only reason why the straight eight went out of favor was low hood lines and short front ends. Two design features that I don't find attractive at all. (save for the Studebaker C/K cars)

Me, I love the straight eights, and I plan on taking that old 356 to the highest level I can.

As for "If Packard had built a car for the 1935 Grand Prix season..."

Since it will be titled as a 1936 Packard Super Eight, I guess I'll be gunning for the '36 GP season..
