There was a high school in downtown Royal Oak michigan named Dondero. Dondero was not a common name in the area so these people probably related to the schools name sake.

They probably lived in Royal Oak.

Maybe not? Inscription on pic also says "1935 California license plate #3Q5032, Mr. & Mrs. Dondero picking up their new car at P.M.C. Co."
