I emailed and don't recall the exact wording but basically the guy would offer a bill of sale.
To get it into the US i believe you're up for getting it inspected up to todays standard as the manufacturer isn't around to issue a letter saying it met US road standards of the year it was manufactured. The process is a bit hazy, and i may recall wrong but a bill of sale will get you through customers but getting it on the road is a whole different story.
