Have installed the rad with a new core, rebuilt sylphon shutter thermostat, timed all that, got the rechromed shell on and road tested. SUCCESS! Average temp is 145. Other improvements, new dist point plate with the single point setup. New solid fanbelt. Have run today in 95-100 degree weather without hood, all seems to be working well. Have two test long hills to do yet that will tell the story. Still running only water. When done testing, will put the antifreeze and rust prohibiter in.
