Frank, there is an AACA thread that will increase the confusion but I can't resist to mention it. It contains the Ditzler paint chips for 1929 Packard's including color combinations but neither hide nor hair of maroon respectively "rubicelle deep".



To jumble everything up try

All maroons aside it could be a (small) hint that the above mentioned overview of 1929 color combinations doesn't contain a separate category for deviating roof colors whereas this source mentioned a black top for a Rubicelle deep 1932 sedan.
