1935-1947 120 Carburetor Comments Please

Followup to dnielsens need for a carburetor for a 38-120. My dilemma is what to recommend. My experience with the original Stromberg is not good. At the very least, I am considering recommending the 39-40 Version to benefit from the carburetor mounted choke rather than the claptrap 35-38 manifold mounted thingy. Another alternative, which frankly I prefer is the Carter WD-O as initially used in 37, then again for 41-47. Point being, he has neither the carburetor or the correct choke, so unless he is wanting to build a judged/correct car, the question for discussion is what carburetor to recommend?
