That sounds like the car Packardbarry gave a link to, only it wasn't a 745 chassis, it was a 740/745 engine on a 733 chassis. I don't think you could put a Speedster on a 745 chassis... not without it looking very strange. Or, perhaps all that was transferred would have been the very back of the body, and not the cowl.
I've often wondered about a Model J Duesenberg that was sold last year. It had a Packard roadster body on it, but for some reason I thought it had a Speedster roadster look to it. That would be another chase.
