Can't think of anything else it could be except NoRol & don't know if anyone besides Bendix made them. I've only seen rods that connect to clutch but I guess a cable would work if it were spring loaded in some way to ensure return.

The shape of the unit with the long stem connecting the pipe loop to master as is the other mounting to frame and cylinder looks slightly different than units I've seen.
