Opinions on carburetor and fuel pump rebuild

Should I buy kits to rebuild both myself or send them out to a rebuilder? I have rebuild atv and motorcycle carbs before but this would be the first car carb. I have a carter WD0 carter carb and I think a carter single action pump any good instructions or resources to rebuild myself? Thanks everyone!
