1941 110 Glove Box Lock

Hi Folks,

My glove box lock was mangled and sitting inside the glove box. I picked up a replacement, which is good. However, I'm puzzled how the thing stays put. There are 2 tiny indexes on the lock and dash to keep it from spinning, but what holds it in?

I've made some good progress on the car. I've made a replacement wiring harness to get me started. I'll probably buy a harness in time but don't want to get it dirty on the current condition of the car. New brakes, lines, bled, and ready to go. Pan cleaned, valves verified not stuck. Manifold removed, corrected, and back on. Carb and fuel pump on and ready. New gas line, tank boiled, and replaced. Starter and generator rebuilt, and installed with NOS voltage regulator. Replaced upper suspension bushings. Still need to do the steering connecting rod.

Thanks to you all! You have helped me!

Probably the best story is keys are found. My car came with no keys. Working on the car I discovered a hidden set, after 5 months, just last week.

Regards,
Rich
