There were some upgrade kits offered for the 32 models offered in 1933 but those I'm aware of were in the way of engine performance, there were kits to convert to the new dual coil ignition system and to downdraft carburetion. Perhaps I'm missing something but the front fenders and grille look correct to me for 1932.

Handsome car - the coupe Victoria is a seldom-seen body style and very elegant!

You're questioning whether it's a body type 517? Is the original patent (VN) plate missing? I'd love to have the VN and the theft-proof number (the large 6-digit number embossed into the engine side of the cowl).
