I think normally, what you said would be appropriate.

Salado classes are for display, and voting is by the participants for their favorite Packard in each class. There are no formal points deduction and formal judging criteria.

I believe the Packard was classified in a pre-war senior convertible class. It should have at least been in a pre-war junior convertible class, but a more appropriate class would have been the modified class because of the extensive trim modifications to the car.
