If I understand what you are saying and we are both on the same page as to what is a strong spark I think the spark at the points is a clue. There should be minimal to no spark. The condenser is there to prevent a strong spark which could destroy the points in short order. At the most it would be a very tiny one. Did the voltage check at the coil terminals I mentioned on your other post check out?

One other thing is the high voltage lead from the coil to dist. Another poster found one of the terminations between the wire center conductor and the brass contact terminal on his wire to be in poor condition resulting in a very weak spark. If you are running resistor instead of copper core wires that could also be a problem on 6v ignition.
