Here's a thing my mate found with a replacement rotor, it didn't have the little metal "clip", or whatever it's called, inside the hub of the rotor. So that when the rotor is pushed onto the top of the distributor shaft it holds the rotor in place. Needed to remove the "clip" from the old rotor and insert it in the new rotor.
