I think if the owner can find a buyer to pay the costs expended so far less an adjustment for the car being disassembled he would be lucky.

I follow some of these cars that can't find buyers and every year the prices become more ridiculous. It's as though the stock market is making everybody feel rich. Well, the stock market is being propped up by the government. That didn't work in Japan 26 years ago when Tokyo stocks were four times more expensive than today and it won't work in the USA.
