Re: Removing the Radiator on 1935 Eight

Years ago before I rebuilt the radiator in my 1937 six I mixed cascade dishwasher powder with hot water to help it dissolve and poured it in the radiator, drove the car for several miles ,then drained the radiator and a surprising amount of gunk came out . I drove the car a few years after that before I had the radiator reworked. I did this each year just prior to the summer and my engine ran cooler After draining the cascade I flushed it with water a couple of times and then refilled it with water and antifreeze. I received this tip from the Model T newsletter back around 1997.
