to PackardInfo, and I invite you to include your '38 Super 8 Victoria Coupe in the Packard Owner's Registry, plus your other Packard/s as well!
Concerning your trans bearing query, I do know that when Wade was rebuilding a trans here in Oz he was able to find a specialist trans shop that was able to remove the "for life" bearing from the shaft and replace it. Check with trans/gearbox rebuilders in the land of the long white cloud!
I've attached a photo of your Coupe, taken during last years Top of the South Rally, leaving the motel at Blenheim.
