I have twice the fender washers as pins so I assume there is a fender washer on each side of the brake shoe?


Unless there is something to hold it in contact with the shoe, what would an inside washer accomplish other than just rattling around and making noise? My guess, the brake hardware kit covers several styles of brakes and the extra washers aren't needed for yours, but I'm no expert on the Bendix-Perrot brake system.
