Sunday Drive

My daughter volunteered me and the 115C to participate in a neighborhood parade on Sunday. It was a good reason to get the Packard out of the garage, where it had set idle for a few weeks. Checked fluids, aired tires, and polished it up a bit. It is amazing how dirty the car gets just sitting in the garage.

The Hyde Park neighborhood association organizes this parade every year near Halloween and calls it the "Firehouse Festival". It is a relatively small event, but it seems the whole neighborhood turned out to participate. I drove the director of the Elizabeth Ney Museum along with his two children and one of my grandsons and his friend. The kids just love riding in the rumble seat. The car received many compliments and it was the hit of the parade, well maybe the fire engine got a little more. A beautiful day to be out in the Packard.
