Re: head gasket problems with 1935 eight

I have a 1939 cast iron head in my possession. The head is surfaced and good to go. I will be smoothing it out and installing it soon. This 39 head has been drilled for the 35, 36 block. The 39 cooling holes will be blocked by my 35 head gasket.
I am confident this will solve my compression leak problems. The 1935 aluminum head was full of old repairs and problems. I will miss how light is is.
Thank You for all the advice.
Andy
