I believe the introduction date of the '35 Eights was August 30 so the photo must date to after that if it is correctly dated as 1934 though it's possible the photographer was mislead by the fact that the car carries a 1934 license plate. Did you notice the "Ace-style" wire wheel shrouds? Not often seen, at least one model in the new car catalog was always pictured with them; not sure I like them. They are perhaps more common today on restorations than they were when new.
