on my original harness that was used to convert to 12v. the wire coming from the steering box hooked to a wire on the main harness right where it came out of the box. then the horns themselves had a separate harness of their own. one of the wires on this harness connected to the battery positive and the other to a wire in the main part of the harness near the starter/firewall area.

the rest of the wiring on the other end of the separate horn harness connected to the relay that was mounted to the horns.

I have no idea if that relay was original or if the horn harness was original, but they appeared to be.

post number 45 in the above link has many pictures. don't judge though...all of that junk wiring is now gone and the car is getting rewired.
