Usually if no chip is shown for a specific year but a code is listed it was an older color unchanged and still available on the newer model. The chip was shown on an earlier chart when the color was introduced. There are also a few instances where a color was introduced midyear so did not appear on early charts. If a paint mfg released a new chart then it would be shown but sometimes was not included until the next year or maybe on a multiyear chart.

Could also be a standard or basic Packard color such as black so no need for a chip. Packard Blue or Packard Ivory were also standards but did vary a bit so that chip was sporadically updated.

Another quirk to codes and charts is the code may stay the same but color changes. I believe the 51 Turquoise Blue is one that falls in that category. A subtle shade difference happened sometime during the year and some have found when they went to do a retouch their cars did not match the chip.
