Forgive my "help." My car is at my son't at the moment and I can't get under there for a decent photo. Here is one more, but it looks like I'm taking it apart. But a spring wire is hooked to something.
You might hook one side and then look for a hole in the frame for the other end.
Have you checked the training manuals for shift linkage, etc?
