Ian. Had these made . my dad poured his own rods. Someday I may try it I have his jig.

The person doing it for max Merritt burned himself. So inserts are in limbo.

The Carrillo rods take a federal mogul. I should of used a Packard 55.56 rod bearing..

With the federal mogul inserts I still need to add oil holes..

But bearings I am using are 10 under. And I bought extra sets.. I have not had the time to see if the 55.56 rod bearing will fit..it is close..on the 12 rod.

But using the Packard rod you need add the spacing..on side of rod. Which..if ever the original inserts were to be used again..that would need to be grounded off..

For me faster to get engine together with having rods made..
