Everything you might powder coat on a convertible top is metal, aside from the wooden front and back bows and canvas. Everything else is steel or cast-iron. I don't think even pot metal would have a problem at 400 degrees powder coating requires, but I can't think of any pot metal convertible top parts on my '40 160 conv sedan.

Using the 1935-1941 Parts Listing in Literature on this site, you might be able to identify the parts by number. Also look for the illustration of top parts on pages 98 through 101.
