1935 LeBaron mystery car

This car appears to be a Twelve-cylinder LeBaron, that has had a body swap to something rather hideous. I've never seen this photo before, nor am I sure if many (or any) Packard Twelve experts have ever see it.

Is it possibly a former phaeton?

Is it possibly the remains of the Macauley Bronze Bomber boattail speedster?

Wonder whatever happened to it. Anyone recognize the license plate?
