Re: What model convertible sedan had this upholstery pattern?

It's easily a one-man operation, if you follow the method.

If there are any instructions about putting down the top on specifically a 1940-1942 convertible sedan, I'd love to see them.

I have something that appears to be a compilation of manuals or service letters that encompasses 14th - 20th series which I bought too many years ago. Centered at the bottom of each page is the section name such as BODY or CHASSIS, etc.
It has the instructions for an earlier Packard, which I used as tips which were very helpful.

I was about to have a boot made when the corona hit. The estimate was $1200. I had my original one when I was a kid and tossed it because it was mildewy and I didn't know how to get the top low enough to make it fit. Stupidity of youth. Don't toss anything.

But I did remember how it was made and drew it for the shop. It's nothing like the few pictures of restored '40 conv sedans I've found with their tops down, which tend to be very baggy, lumpy and somewhat misshapen. The reason is they are missing the stiffening board sewn into various sections of them.
