It is your lucky day. I needed new bow ties for my 28 526 and somewhere found some reproductions. They are bronze and rough cast but with some grinding, buffing and re-nickled, they are perfect.
I have one rough casting plus the backing plate that I will part with. Please IM me for details and your mailing info.
In the photo you see an original junk yard bow tie with massive rust and corrosion. You also see the reproduction casting. Also the last view is of the one with a couple of hours of grinding and polishing with the new nickle plating. 1928 cars are the last of the nickle era and the brightwork is not chrome. I believe the plating cost me about $20 each ( I had 5 plated with other small items for my car so the cost is just an estimate.

As for the bright trim, I just had my metal fabricator cut me out strips of polished stainless. Looks like original and will not rust in place.
