The factory conversion for the 477S just had a sheet metal "hat" held in place by a bracket from the base of the carburetor with a heat tube tied into the hat.
Flackmaster may have a good suggestion on how to configure the heat tube.
The small hole in the manifold carburetor mounting surface was for the original Chandler Groves carburetor and can now be ignored.
