This may be true for the banjo type with the horn ring as I can't recall how mine came off or reinstalled on one my my 1940 110s. On the other two, though, and on the 1939 Six with the plain wheel, it did press and turn and I still have several of those buttons as souvenirs as the Bakelite tabs are broken off.
