Hi all,
Here it is installed on my car. I think it's tucked away quite nicely (if I do say so myself...).
Looking down from the top you can't tell that it's not a full round cylinder. Now I wish I would have painted it a gloss black ... next time.
The filter does not protrude further than the point where the top of the oil pan meets the bottom of the crankcase so I would say it's fairly well protected from road debris.
