Front seat frame and cushion

Hello everyone, I am a 55 year old new to the Packard world car enthusiast. I have been involved with cars my whole life but involved with cars in my era. I had a relative pass away and he left me a 1941 Packard 110. I did do some of his work on the car while he was still with us for the past year and a half. I am really starting to like this car and still have a lot to learn with these cars.

I was at Hershey this past week and ran into some knowledgeable Packard owners and they taught me some of the basic things about the vin number and stuff like that. They steered me to this site with my two questions since the questions are model and era specific.

First, I am trying to figure out how the seat frame secures to the seat cushion. I have attached some pics of how my seat frame slides up into the cushion. The frame had some fabrication done to it but does look Packard specific. I am hoping someone on this site can steer me in the right direction to get my seat secured to the frame.

Second question is about the fuel tank sender. Has anyone used a modern sender and got it to work for a 41? There is nothing left to my sender. It is just a cover now, everything has rotted away.

Thanks in advance for any help.
